If your business has only a few work groups, or many departments, security is simple, you can secure any page. You can have one person, or many handle all the content in the portal.  Access to any of the pages in the portal can be set for any group or user to read and/or edit. Website "communities" can be managed by administrators only, or deligated to others such as department managers, or project leaders.
